A large suguaro cactus in the Tonto National Forest in Arizona. I took this one from a moving truck and like the effect.

About Me
Dead Saguaro on Flickr.
Lightning is a common enemy of the saguaro cactus. These sturdy plant seem to last long after they die. Beneath the outer layer is a skeleton, the long pole of which were long used as a building material in a land where large trees are rare.

Saguaro can live up to 150 years and get over 40 feet tall. I liked this one in particular because it reminded me of a bulls horns.

About Me
Two Clouds with Flare on Flickr.
Last week I had a work trip to Arizona, and one afternoon a few of us took a Hummer ride through the Tonto National Forest section of the Sonora Desert. This is one of my favorites from the trip.
