Árpád - Grand Prince of the Hungarians on Flickr.
Heroes Square, Budapest, Hungary
It is said that he’s a descendant of Attila (the Hun). His name is Árpád and he was the second Grand Prince of the Hungarians. He ruled from 895 to 907, and began a dynasty that ruled for 400 years.
This staute leads six other leaders from the period. They were installed in 1900 as part of the Millennium Monument, celebrating the 1000th aniversary of the beginning of what is now Hungary.
